NAFA Welcomes New Member: Sage-Popovich, Inc.

Edgewater, MD — September 28, 2026 — The National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA) is proud to announce that Sage-Popovich, Inc., has joined its distinguished network of business and general aviation finance professionals.

Since 1979, Sage-Popovich, Inc. has grown from a provider of recovery services for aviation assets worldwide, into a global aviation consulting and asset-management firm. Services include certified appraisals, portfolio monitoring, repossession, remarketing, liquidation, pre-purchase inspections and maintenance through its FAA Part 145 repair station, TOGS Aircraft, LLC, and technical consulting for lenders, lessors, airlines, attorneys, and aircraft owners and operators.

The firm completed its 2,000th aviation-asset recovery in 2023 and has valued billions in aviation-related assets; that work covers commercial and business-aviation aircraft, rotorcraft, spare-parts inventories, and ground support equipment throughout the aviation sector.

Sage-Popovich, Inc. has been appointed by U.S. bankruptcy courts to operate or wind down airlines, on-demand private aviation businesses, and parts dealers, and provides expert-witness testimony and litigation support in aviation-related claims and disputes.

“Most of our work sits on the collateral side of a financed aircraft: the appraisal that supports the credit, the inspection before the deal closes, and the recovery when things don’t work out as planned,” said Justin Gerber, Director of Business Development. “NAFA is where the lenders relying on that work are.”

“NAFA is where our clients already are. The people in that association underwrite aircraft, hold the paper, and call when an asset must be valued, inspected, recovered, or sold out of a distressed situation,” said Petar Todorovic, President of Sage-Popovich, Inc. “We have done that work since 1979. Joining NAFA puts us in the same room as the professionals who need it.”

NAFA President Bryan Byers welcomes Sage-Popovich, Inc. to the National Aircraft Finance Association. “We are pleased to welcome Sage-Popovich, Inc. to NAFA and believe the knowledge they bring in aviation asset services can provide a great benefit to NAFA members”, said NAFA President Bryan Byers.
