Shawn Dinning

Shawn Dinning serves as Senior Partner at Dallas Jet International, bringing over two decades of aviation expertise and leadership to the firm. He earned his foundational education at the United States Air Force Academy, specializing in Operations Research and Management Science, and later obtained a degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

With 24 years of experience across diverse sectors—including FAR Part 91, 121, 135, defense, and shared ownership—Shawn offers a rare depth of industry insight. From 1998 to 2006, he built a successful career as a professional pilot and currently holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multiple type ratings. He is qualified in the Gulfstream V / G550 / G500 / G450 / G350, Bombardier CRJ-200, and Citation 510 Mustang, with over 6,000 total flight hours—more than 4,000 of those in corporate turbine aircraft.

Shawn has been directly involved in over $1 billion in aircraft transactions. His strategic, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach has made him one of the most trusted and respected brokers in the industry. In addition to aircraft sales and acquisitions, he specializes in aircraft mission analysis, valuation, and financial modeling, including operating cost and cash flow analysis for turbine aircraft owners.

An IADA-Certified Aircraft Broker, Shawn was one of the first in the world to achieve this distinction. He has served in multiple leadership roles within the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) and was appointed Chairman and President of the IADA Aircraft Exchange in 2022, where he led the rapid expansion of the association’s online marketplace. His insights are regularly sought after for publications, panels, and industry events.

When he’s not brokering aircraft deals, Shawn can often be found at the controls of his personal turbo Cirrus SR-22—or behind a drum kit, performing with his band.
