Greg Wallis

Greg Wallis is an accomplished finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in credit, underwriting, and portfolio management across the equipment finance industry. His career spans leadership roles supporting complex transactions in aircraft, rail, marine, and large‑corporate sectors, with a consistent focus on asset‑based finance, risk management, and operational excellence.

Greg currently serves as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Team Lead within The Huntington National Bank’s Equipment Finance Group. Since 2011, he has overseen underwriting, documentation, and portfolio management for a diverse mix of loans and leases, including rail, marine, large corporate, and aircraft transactions. He currently manages an aircraft portfolio exceeding $1 billion, ensuring thorough tracking of credit quality, asset valuation, insurance, and market metrics. Greg also leads a team of five portfolio managers, providing training, workflow oversight, and performance management.

Before joining Huntington, Greg held vice president roles with CIT Aerospace and Merrill Lynch Capital Equipment Finance, where he was responsible for underwriting and managing whole and fractional-share aircraft transactions including both fixed‑wing and rotor‑wing aircraft. His responsibilities included structuring and documenting aviation finance transactions, working with U.S. and international legal counsel, and managing repossessed asset dispositions.

Greg holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arkansas. He is an active member of the National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA).
