Dear NAFA Members and Industry Colleagues,
On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors of NAFA, I would like to thank you for making the first half of 2010 an exciting time for NAFA. I look forward to serving as NAFA’s President over the next two years. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Keith Graham, whose wise leadership guided the Association through a difficult eighteen months for this industry.
Our recent annual meeting, the 39th Annual Conference, “Perspectives on the Past & Present: Is Growth Sustainable?” was one of the most successful in NAFA history, with two-hundred twenty-four people from one hundred and sixteen companies traveling to Scottsdale, Arizona, for three days of education, professional development and networking events. Thirty-two expert panelists presented during more than a dozen breakout sessions and interactive workshops. From the stunning desert setting to the superb accommodations at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn, the conference was a complete success. The conference program and a roster of speakers are available at www.nafa.aero.
We at NAFA are pleased to offer content-driven programming that is unparalleled in the industry. We will continue to expand and enhance our conference programming in order to provide maximum benefit to our attendees. Planning is already well underway for next year’s 40th Anniversary Conference, and as always, we welcome your feedback.
NAFA is a growing organization whose foundation is its loyal members. We have over one hundred fifteen member companies and have already welcomed fourteen new members to our ranks this year. It is due to the generosity of our members that we have been able to award scholarships to eight deserving students since 2008, and we hope to expand this program further over the next two years.
With your support, 2010 promises to be a year of growth and expansion for NAFA. We are working diligently to increase our value to our members and meet the needs of a diverse and expanding membership, increase our industry presence and advocacy on behalf of our members, enhance our web site to provide the most up-to-date and relevant industry and association information, and add more networking and educational opportunities throughout the year. In addition, we are exploring new ways for our members to take a more active role in the Association by participating on various membership committees.
Thank you for your continued support of NAFA, and I look forward to seeing you all at the 7th Annual NAFA/NARA Reception in Atlanta.
Sincerely,
Mary T. Schwartz
