Robert H. Howe is President of Dorr Aviation Credit Corporation, a leading source for general aviation financing. Bob began his career at Dorr in 1988 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a short stint with Keystone Financial Partners.
When the company made the decision to shift the primary focus from aircraft sales to financing, Bob came on board and helped to develop and institute a growth plan that transformed the small regional lender to a nation wide company with offices in Massachusetts, Texas, Minnesota and California. Bob has been intimate with every aspect of the company from operations, structuring loans, coordinating closings to negotiating contracts with various underwriting and title entities.
In 2010, along with his friend and longtime business partner Mel Dorr, Bob helped form Dorr Aviation Recovery Services. Recovery is a full service General Aviation repossession company which operates out of Spruce Creek airport in Port Orange, Florida. Recovery has been able to leverage its aviation expertise to maximize the returns for the various banking institutions while keeping costs at a minimum.
Bob has been a longtime School Board member of a small local Catholic school and currently serves as the board’s President. He is the coach of the school’s JV and Varsity Girls basketball teams. Bob was active in the 2008 Congressional campaign writing position papers and fund raising for a local candidate. He also serves on the advisory board of the Marlboro Airport, is a 20 year member of AOPA and is a private pilot.
Bob is married with 3 children and spends his free time on his farm in central Massachusetts.
